Clean, quiet and safe. Nice playground and two great hiking trails. Pit privys as well as flush toilets at comfort stations. Nice beach.

Great camping grounds close to, but far enough, from the city; pond for swimming and walking trails.

Pretty nice spot for a camping trip that's not to far from town

One thing I don't like about the provincial parks is the lack of kid related events.. When ever I've taken my kids there they're bored.

It's close to St John's if visiting or want a quick getaway. Beautiful hike to the top of the hill (approx 1 to 1.5 hrs each way). Swimming area with nice clean pond and very scenic. The comfort stations are average for most campgrounds and there is only 1 trailer dump station. Long weekends it can be a bit of a party spot and quiet time doesn't seem to be enforced too well. Dry camping only and water filll has a 5 minute boil order.

Unlike Terra Nova park, the provincial parks offer nothing, no events, no activity centre, not even a park store.

I don't understand why the provincial government hasn't capitalized on this.. certainly an activity centre and store would generate much needed revenue for the provincial parks and offer something more than just a driveway for families taking their kids camping.
